Tavily is Joining Nebius
Tavily is joining Nebius. Together, we are bringing core AI infrastructure and a production-grade web access layer closer, so agentic systems can rely on the web safely, reliably, and at scale.

Today, we’re sharing an important milestone: Tavily is joining Nebius.
Nebius builds infrastructure for the age of AI, and we are excited to join them. You can learn more about Nebius here: https://nebius.com
Moments like this invite reflection on what we’ve built so far, and on what becomes possible next.
How we reached this moment
Tavily was founded to solve a specific and increasingly urgent problem.
AI agents need reliable, real-time access to the web, but the web was never built for them.
As agents moved from experiments to production systems, teams ran into the same constraints again and again:
- Search designed for humans, not machines
- Scrapers that break, block, or leak data
- Freshness, latency, and security constantly at odds
- Infrastructure that didn’t scale with real agent workloads
We built Tavily to with the mission to onboard the next billion agents to the web.
We started with a simple goal: one API for search, extraction, and crawling that is structured, controllable, and grounded in reality.
Over time, usage grew organically. Developers adopted Tavily because it worked. Enterprises adopted it because it was secure, predictable, and built for production. Without marketing spend or hype, Tavily became infrastructure teams quietly depended on.
As Tavily matured, one thing became increasingly clear. This problem was not getting smaller, and solving it well required going deeper into infrastructure.
Why Nebius
When conversations with Nebius began, the alignment was immediate.
Nebius is building core AI infrastructure: compute, cloud, and platforms designed for production-scale AI systems. Tavily has been focused on a complementary layer: how AI systems access and reason over the live web safely, reliably, and at scale.
We’re approaching the same future from different sides of the stack.
Together, this brings two critical pieces closer.
- The engine: global AI cloud infrastructure built for real workloads
- The eyes: a web access layer designed for precision, control, and trust
This combination creates a stronger foundation for agentic systems. It supports infrastructure built for real workloads, enables a tighter loop between retrieval and reasoning, and reinforces a long-term mindset around reliability, security, and scale.
This is not about changing what Tavily is. It is about giving it the environment it needs to go further.
What this means for Tavily customers
The most important thing to say clearly:
Nothing changes about how you use Tavily today.
- The API remains the same
- Your data policies remain the same
- Zero data retention remains core
- Security, reliability, and developer experience remain the priority
Nebius is committed to investing in Tavily as infrastructure. This is not about repositioning it, repackaging it, or diluting what makes it trusted.
Over time, this partnership gives us room to go further on the things that matter most in production.
Now backed by global infrastructure, we can continue to improve latency and uptime, invest more deeply in long-term reliability and performance, and support larger, more complex enterprise deployments.
But day to day, Tavily continues to operate exactly as it does now.
This is only the beginning
Infrastructure companies are not built on quick wins. They are built on patience, restraint, and trust earned over time.
Joining Nebius gives Tavily a stronger foundation to grow on. Nebius builds infrastructure for the age of AI, and that scale and operational depth lets us move faster.
We can invest more aggressively in reliability and performance, expand our global footprint, and support bigger, more demanding deployments while keeping our principles intact.
We’re grateful to the developers, teams, and companies who trusted Tavily early and helped shape it through real-world use.
This moment is not a finish line. It is a continuation, with stronger footing and a longer runway.
Thank you for building with us.
